Fortunately, more church leaders and lay members are recognizing the great need to minister to couples, parents and families in their congregations and communities. However, they often do not know where to turn for the necessary resources and assistance to meet this need. In addition, in order to remain responsive and relevant to their members and the culture, churches are increasingly aware of the need to address the concerns of various types of families. These types include not only first-marriages, biological parents, and intact families, but also remarrieds, single and adopted parents, stepfamilies, and those living together unmarried.

The fact is, the Church must take back its role as the primary foundation for building strong marriages and strengthening families, regardless of the form they take. To address these great needs, a number of today's leading writers, trainers, speakers and practitioners have come together to develop the Association of Marriage and Family Ministries (AMFM). Our goal is to assist the Church and other support organizations in serving the needs of the couples, parents and families that God has given them to serve.

Our mission is to equip, train, support, resource and encourage those that lead or desire to lead in marriage and family ministry, in the church as well as other supporting organizations. Outside of leading people to a personal relationship with Christ, no mission is more important for the Church today.

In fact, we believe proactive strategies in marriage and family ministry can be the greatest tool for growth a Church can have today. Take a lead in your church or community and join us for an inspiring time of training, teaching, and equipping along with a great time of fellowship with others called to this vital area of ministry.

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

West of the Superstitions, where the McDowell Mountains frame the Sonoran desert town of Scottsdale, Arizona, there is a resort hotel unlike any other in the world. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. At first when you drive out from town and approach the hotel along its sweeping drive, it might seem you've come upon a great and luxurious estate. Mexican Colonial. Colors of earth. Old stone, saguaro and cottonwood. A bell tower reaching high. But then an awareness of its great size intrudes. Nearly 450 acres. Spacious guest rooms and suites. Vast and various state-of-the-art meeting facilities including the largest ballroom in the state of Arizona. A constellation of excellent restaurants, bars and lounges. A host of superb boutiques. more info>>

Couples, parents, and families in our churches and communities are in great need of support, encouragement, and skills. In addition, those who serve families need to be equipped with the resources and training necessary to address the complexities of family life.

Today's family has changed and will likely continue to do so in the future. As those who serve and minister to families, we must continue to strengthen first-time marriages, biological parents, and intact families. At the same time, we must equip ourselves to respond to the needs of single parents, stepfamilies, empty nesters and the growing number of individuals cohabiting outside of marriage.

To address these great needs, a number of today's leading writers, speakers and counselors have come together to develop the Association of Marriage and Family Ministries (AMFM). The purpose of this conference is to train and equip marriage and family helping professionals, ministers, and lay leaders.

To do so, we have partnered with the experts to showcase the finest in marriage and family training and resources available today, as well as those that are emerging with new and creative ideas. The conference will equip, train, encourage, resource and support you as a leader in your work with couples, parents, and the full spectrum of family types.
